Product Description

Harry Potter takes the magic of Building Cards to a whole new realm.

Equal parts toy and construction set, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is the fourth and most fantastic Building Cards set yet.

Because Hogwarts castle looms so large in the imagination of fans all over the world, we made the new Building Cards set bigger than its predecessors – and packaged it with more cards. Sturdy slot-to-slot construction means there is no need for glue, nails and the cards can be taken apart and re-assembled over and over again. (A good thing, since staircases at Hogwarts have a habit of moving around.)

Of course, no Hogwarts experience would be complete without its most famous student, so we included a specially molded Harry Potter figure, ready to explore the one-of-a-kind school you create. The included book is full of building ideas, assembly hints, step-by-step illustrations and directions so simple, even a Muggle could follow them.

 "Fascinating and Complementing" 2009-04-11

My children loved building this set and they used it to visualize their reading experience. It was worth the money spent on it. The only thing that didn't go over too well is that not all pieces are easy to put together; little adjustments must be made to accommodate the whole structure.

I bought this for my son (10) and daughter (12). They already had one set that we bought from Borders, and they wanted to expand. Amazon's price was about 1/2 of Borders. Thanks Amazon!

"Good but a little fragile" 2009-01-07

I purchased these as a present for my 10 year old daughter. She was a little frustrated at the beginning and was not pushing the cards in toghether all the way, and when she did she was using too much force and bending them. She did get the hang of it after a while. Also, the kit does not provide a full set of instructions to create the Hogwarts Castle (a la Lego), it shows how to build basic units and lets the builder design their own interpretation of the building. This has worked OK for my daughter, surprisingly. I don't expect they will last very long.

This was great fun to use, and my grand-nephew really enjoyed it. Our only reservation was that, in order to create the castle school we see on screen, we would probably require an additional package of pieces.Harry Potter Boxset Books 1-7

 "Pieces missing" 2007-09-11
By K. Mittu
The building cards are nice and strong. However, when my daughter tried to build the simplest castle (from the direction book), we realized that she was missing pieces. We called the manufacturer and they were very helpful and sent us a replacement set. Other than that, we've been very happy with the set.
